On COMPUTER
Install Software
THIS APPLIES ONLY TO MICROSOFT STANDARD LICENSES.
If you haven’t already done so, Install Outlook
- Login to Office.com
- Choose Install Office
- Select the software you wish to install.
Your options vary depending on the license you have. All licenses have the option to install Outlook and Teams.
Add Account
- Open Outlook
- If it’s the FIRST TIME starting Outlook, it will go directly to the Welcome Screen.
- Enter your email address and select Connect.
- If your screen looks different, enter your name, email address, and password, and select Next.
- When prompted, enter your password and select OK.
- Select Finish.
If you already use Outlook, you need to add a new account.
- Click File menu and choose Add Account
- Follow the same steps to enter your email address and password.
ON PHONE:
THIS APPLIES TO ALL LICENSES.
- Go to your app store and get the Outlook App
- Open the app on your phone.
- Enter your email address and click Add Account
- Enter your password and Sign In
- If it asks if you want to make another account, choose Maybe Later
If
you already have an account on your phone click your profile icon, then
the settings gear. Then click the Add Mail Account link.
ONLINE WITH OWA (Outlook Web Access)
THIS APPLIES TO ALL LICENSES.
Whether you have Exchange Online Plan or Microsoft Office Standard, you have access to your email using OWA (Outlook Web Access).
- Go to Office.com
- Login if necessary. When signing in you do have the option to "remember" the login so you don't have to do it all the time.
- Click the 9 dots in the top left corner and select Outlook. (Different icons appear depending on your license.)
- This takes you to Outlook.office.com/mail. You may want to mark this page as a favorite to return to it easily the next time.
